Role :- Went to Mahim Fishermen's Colony with five co-accused,
who lobbed grenades killing three people. Bashir failed
to throw a grenade.

Role :- Dressed as a chaufer,Pawale drove an RDX-laden white ambassador
to the Air India Building at Nariman Point. The guards did not
stop the official looking car,which he
parked at the near entrance of the Bank of Oman.

Exploded at 2:30pm
Dead :- 4 Injured :- 50
Role :- Pawale & Usman Jan Khan(approver) intended to blow up the
Shiv Sena Bhavan at Dadar but weren't allowed to park the
explosive-laden white Maruti 800 by traffic
constable. They parked it at a nearby petrol pump & left in taxi

Roles of the Memon Family in '93 Blasts

Essa Memon
Tiger's brother.Was found guilty of conspiracy & allowing his flat(at Al-Husseni building in Mahim)to be used for meetings to plan blasts & storing arms & ammunition.


Yousuf & Rubeena Memon
Another of Tiger's brothers,Yusuf & acquitted brother Suleman's wife,Rubeena,were
convicted under Tada & Indian Penal Code. It was Rubeena's Maruti Omni that was abandoned by some of the co-accused in Worli, giving away the family's involvement in the blasts & giving the cops their first & most vital clue; the car contained explosives, arms & detonators.


Yakub Memon

Found guilty of conspiracy & financing the blasts through co-accused Mulchand Shah
& the firm,M/s Tejarat International, owned by Ayub Memon; also convicted for providingtickets to co-accused to travel to Pakistan; he possessed arms & ammunition & distributed them among the co-accused & purchased vehicles used in the blasts.

Role :- He is former manager of Tiger Memon,& Qureshi is a
butcher parked RDX -laden red Maruti van at Dadar's
Plaza Cinema.

:- Shahnawaz Qureshi(48)
Penalty :- Death Sentence & Fine Rs. 3.50 lakh
Role :- Qureshi, who underwent weapon training in Pakistan,
accompained Mukadam,who was scared of executing the
job alone. Mukadam was 1st to be arrested.


Location :- Zaveri Bazzar
Dead :- 17 Injured :- 57

Convicted Person :- Shoeb Ghansar(43)
Penalty :- Death Sentence & Fine Rs. 2.50 lakh
Role :- Parked scooter with explosives opposite a jewellery
shop at Zaveri Bazzar. After that, he prayed for
forgiveness at a nearby mosque.
Exploded at 3:05pm
Ghansar was dragged into the conspiracy by his cousin
Mukadam on 11 March 1993,a day before the blasts

Convicted Person :- Abdul Gani Turk(51).
Penalty :- Death Sentence & Fine Rs. 1.75 lakh
Role :- Parked a RDX-laden Commander Jeep.
Exploded at 2:45pm
Turk had confessed filling RDX in the vehicle & parking the Commander Jeep
at Century Bazzar. He performed
namaaz after parking the vehicle.



Location :- Katha Bazzar & SeaRock Hotel
Dead :- 4 Injured :- 21.(Katha Bazzar)
Dead :- 0 Injured :- 0.(SeaRock Hotel)

Convicted Person :- Parvez Nazir Shaikh(40).
Penalty :- Death Sentence & Fine Rs. 5.25 lakh
Role :- Parked Scooter with explosives at grain market.
Exploded at 2:15pm
Shaikh is a former employee of Tiger Memon,had driven the scooter
from Tiger's Al Husseini building in Mahim to Katha Bazzar near Masjid
Bunder.

Role :- Planted suitcase bomb in room 1840.
Exploded at 3:10pm
Shaikh was so mesmerised by the chandeliers & paintings that he had trouble
keeping up with the bell boy. Being nervous,he left after planting bomb.


Location :- Centaur Hotel & Sheikh Memon Street
Dead :- 0 Injured :- 3.
No Casualties.

Convicted Person :- Mushtaq Tarani(42).
Penalty :- Death Sentence & Fine Rs. 3.87 lakh
Role :- Put RDX filled suitcase in room 3078.
Exploded at 3:20pm
Tarani checked into Centaur in the name of Sanjeev Rai. He left the explosive
laden blue suitcase & walked out of the hotel within 10 minutes.

Role :- Parked RDX-laden Scooter.
Unexploded
The detonator's pin got stuck in the RDX & failed to trigger the blast
in the crowded locality of Kalbadevi at the southern end of Zaveri Bazzar.
